£2,000 Boost from AFCB Community Fund Supports 50 Residents
We are delighted to share that the AFC Bournemouth Community Fund has generously awarded £2,000 to Hope Housing, funding 50 essential Starter Packs for vulnerable adults moving into our supported accommodation.
These Starter Packs will be provided to new residents between now and June, ensuring that individuals arriving at Hope Housing have the basic household essentials they need from day one.
Each pack includes:
Bedding
Towels
Kitchenware
Toiletries
Cleaning products
For many of the people we support, moving into accommodation can be both a hopeful and overwhelming experience. Some arrive with very few possessions. Having essential items ready and waiting helps reduce stress, promotes dignity, and enables residents to settle safely and comfortably into their new home.
This funding directly supports:
Improved mental health and wellbeing
Tenancy sustainability
Confidence building
Stability during early recovery
Long-term independence
At Hope Housing, we know that practical support plays a vital role in breaking cycles of homelessness. By removing the immediate financial pressure of purchasing essential items, residents are better able to focus on rebuilding their lives.
We extend our sincere thanks to AFCB Community Fund for investing in our residents and helping us continue to provide rehabilitation-focused, abstinent supported accommodation across Bournemouth and Poole.
Together, we are creating real opportunities for lasting change.
