While Christmas is a joyous time of the year, for many it can also be a very lonely time. And for many of our residents who once faced homelessness, spending their time with us is special. Some have the opportunity to meet with friends or family, and the ones who stays during the festive season, are also in for a treat.
After weeks of practicing with some of our residents, Gemma and her five member choir, led us into cheerful Christmas carols. The happy sing-along created a lovely appetite for pizza's, hot chocolate and of course, mince pies. But the gifts kept on coming, because we had wonderful donations of food from Asda and Eaton Mission Systems donated 100 sports bags for each of our residents. And to top everything, our CEO, Julie Berti blessed them with a pool table!
We are so thankful for those who always support our efforts to treat our residents with dignity.
