Our values and mission
Hope Charity was launched in 2009 to protect the young and vulnerable in Bournemouth. The aim of Hope is to provide supported housing for individuals completing alcohol and drug rehabilitation. The charity sets out to offer extra support to those who chose recovery as an achievable way out of dependency, to pay for counselling sessions and coaching - one of the most important tools available to keep them from getting stuck in the cycle of addiction or a life back on the streets.Hope have created a Re-connect programme which offers individuals a step by step process for recovery. Many individuals who have experienced alcohol/drug addiction have suffered some form of abuse as a child or experienced a traumatic past. The Re-connect programme will work with these individuals to providing mentoring, counselling and offer a full support team to enable the vulnerable person to succeed. Our mission is to make this fifteen week programme available to over 40 individuals a year.
As Hope is a dry house we carry out random alcohol testing and we seek to provide safe and dry accommodation, supported in an environment appropriate to the individuals' needs with the objective to move them on to independent living when they are ready.
The organisation believes in the right of the individual to be treated with respect and due regard at all times, adhering to a comprehensive Equal Opportunities ethos. We aim to offer the highest possible quality of service which reflects the diversity of each individual needs.
