Mind change courses

mind change The mind change program is a superb response to the problem of street crime. It changes peoples' perceptions and moves them away from the belief that they need to belong to a gang in order to attain any status and significance in life. It ultimately provides a safer and better-protected society for everyone.

This program is a combination of cognitive therapy and the teachings of Anthony Robbins, the American self-help author and professional motivational speaker. Tony Robbins claims that his philosophy and coaching materials have been delivered to approximately 700 correctional facilities, and in one institution in excess of 400 inmates are said to have completed his personal power for prisoners program. The American course is of 3 months duration, with sport and sporting achievement acting as a substitute for conventional employment focus and objectives.

Hope does not restrict itself to working with ex-offenders. We also help those out of work, the homeless and ex-addicts and alcoholics. We aim to reduce the number of potential offenders and steer them into work and ambition instead of traveling down the road of crime.

To achieve real change in a person, we need to change that person's belief. That way, they believe that they can attain rather than just being told that they can. If we can change a person's belief, we are starting with a blank canvas and we can target their attention at what they believe themselves to be capable of. If you tell a person that they are incapable or unworthy, and you tell them enough, they will believe it. If you tell a person that they can realise their ambitions, and you tell them that often enough, and show them how, then they will believe that.
